For Papa Davis :)

We took the boys back to the Dragon Hill park tonight. It is by far our favorite one and is such a nice place to be not only for the kids but also for the adults. Aiden loves it because it has some pretty awesome fountains. So, when we went tonight, he wanted me to take LOTS of pictures to send back to PaPa Davis...he wants Papa to see the fountains here and also where he plays at. So, PaPa Davis....this slide show is for you...... we love and miss you guys SO much!!!!!

Could the boys be models????

Josh and I took the boys out for ice cream and some fun at the park tonight as a reward for Aiden going to sleep in his own bed last night by himself. While we were there in line to get ice cream, I was approached by a lady who was from a children's modeling company who is interested in both of the boys. I would have more than likely looked at this lady like she was crazy had I not just had a conversation with one of my new friends just yesterday about the modeling companies here. My friend was telling me how these people will come up to you if they are interested in your child and if they choose to use them as models, they pay you a pretty decent amount of money (about $300 or more a session) to take their pictures and they also will normally give you copies of all the pictures they take. So, I figured it would only be a matter of time before we were approached...I mean we are the ONLY people who have kids with such blonde hair!!!!! Our kids get alot of people looking at them and making over them....and YES, they are eating every second of it up :)

So, we will see what happens. She took a picture of both boys and said she will forward them onto the corporate office and if/when they are interested, she will call me. She said it just depends on what age and style of child they are looking for at that time but they usually keep them on file for awhile if they can not use them right away. I will keep everyone updated on what happens.....who knows...they could be models at age 2 and 4!!!!!!

Fun at the Pool

Today we took the boys to the swimming pool here on base. It was a nice change for me because I have taken the boys to the pool 4 times already on my own so it was nice to have an extra set of hands for help. Aiden LOVES going to the big pool and even though I have taken both of them at the same time to the "big" pool, I do not stay in there long because I have a hard time holding onto both of them for a long time. So, today was nice because Aiden was able to spend a little more time in the "big" pool.

I have been pleasantly suprised with the pool here on base. I LOVED to pool back in Troy. It was recently renovated and made into a "waterpark" that was very kid friendly. I was very spoiled by it and knew nothing could really compare to how nice that specific pool was. However, even though this pool is nothing like the Troy pool back home, it is really nice and the kids have alot of fun there. The kiddie pool is very shallow around all four sides and as you go into the center of the pool, it gets a little deeper. The big pool is pretty nice. They have it sectioned off by how deep it is. They also have diving boards and a water slide. Another nice thing is, it is hardly ever busy. The Troy pool was always packed so I enjoy the fact that there are not as many people there at one time. And the best part of it all....the pool here is free for us to use. I would spend $10 a visit at the pool back home. So, we can go for as little or as long as we want to and we do not have to feel like we are not getting our money's worth :)

Enjoy the pictures below of the boys having fun and playing in the kiddie pool. We sure enjoy going there and it helps burn off some of their energy!!!!

Aiden tries Chopsticks

During our lunch today, Josh and I were talking about eating with chopsticks and how when we go to a restaurant in Korea that we HAVE to use them as they do not serve spoons and forks. Josh has some chopsticks here at the house and got them for me to try....he told me I can "practice" before we go out :) Aiden watched us use them very carefully and then spoke up and said he wanted a turn also. So, below are the picture of Aiden using chopsticks for the first time. For being only 3 yrs old, he actually did really good with them. He obviously held them wrong but it only took him a few tries to get it and he was proud of himself when he did. And yes he is eating cheese crackers with them.....lol

Park and Swimming

I took the boys to the park and the swimming pool yesterday. It was such a beautiful day out and I did not want to spend it inside. So, we went to one of the many parks around 11am and much to my surprise we were the only people at the park. I have noticed when we drive by any of the parks that they are empty. I am not sure why...it is nice to have the whole playground to ourselves but the kids would like to have other kids to play with also. One reason may be that they are always in the sun so the slides and swings are pretty hot...maybe if we went earlier in the morning it would be better. Anyways, the boys had a great time and played really nice together. We left around noon and came home to get some lunch and head to the pool. I was really surprised how nice the kiddie pool was but once again, not alot of kids and parents there. At least not like the pool in Troy. We ended up staying at the pool all day and needless to say...my kids are sunburnt now. I did not take my camera to the pool but have some pictures of the park. There are also some pictures from our little walk today around the neighborhood just to get outside a little. Next time I go to the pool I will take my camera and maybe Josh will be able to go with us :) Enjoy the pictures and we love and miss everyone bunches!!!!!

Tiger World

I have been on the hunt for things to take the boys and go do during the weekends. As many of you know, I HATE sitting at home and not doing anything. I have found many different things I hope to try during our 2 yrs here in Seoul. However, the one thing I insist Josh and I take the kids to go do is an indoor park called "Tiger World". I almost fell over when I came across this and viewed the website. Maybe some of the larger cities in the US have things like this but the small towns I am used to never have anything like this. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think. It is pretty expensive so it will not be something we can do often but WOW...it will be awesome to check it out a few times. On the link below, it will have the different pictures come up and then at the top of the website you can look at the different sections more in depth. We want to do the waterpark and kids corner. The ski section would be nice for us adults :)

We will be sure to take lots of pictures when we go. We think we may go sometime between the boy's birthday this year.
